Denver Digerati’s ongoing initiative that positions

Digital Animation as Public Art

Denver Digerati presents a monthly rotation of select digital animations presented daily on the impeccable 16th and Arapahoe LED Screen located in the heart of downtown Denver, Colorado, directly adjacent to the historic Daniels & Fisher Clocktower where Night Lights Denver is presented. Click on any of the images to see the full representation of each 30 second work.

Our curation of artworks and animations on this screen began with its launch in late 2017, supported by the Denver Theatre District and media partner Orange Barrel Media. Over 100 distinct 30-second animations have been presented to date in the monthly rotations, which run within the changing cycles of paid advertising throughout the day and night, affording optimal visibility for artists and works selected for this initiative. Denver Digerati also utilizes the screen as a focal location for Supernova’s annual Silent Screen initiative, a core program that presents digital animations of longer duration throughout an entire day without advertising, selected through an international call for proposals.

Artists may submit proposals anytime for our consideration to be presented as part of our monthly rotations, which are generally limited to 4 per month, and are also encouraged to create longer-form works specific to this or other locations to be considered for Silent Screen in September.
